Promoting Financial Literacy
J. A. Abrahams believes in the power of financial literacy to empower individuals and communities to make informed financial decisions. As a responsible corporate citizen, we are committed to promoting financial literacy in our region and equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to achieve financial well-being.
In order to meet the unique needs of the many groups in our nation, we have created a thorough financial literacy training program. Our training sessions cover a wide range of subjects, such as financial planning, budgeting, saving, and investing. We have taken great care in creating training materials, curricula, and resources that participants from all backgrounds and educational levels will find interesting, useful, and accessible.
We work with local facilitators and trainers who are skilled in financial literacy education in order to provide the best quality of instruction. The aim of this initiative is to inspire an environment for individuals to enhance their financial knowledge and skills.
To continuously improve our financial literacy program and measure its effectiveness, we have established robust monitoring and evaluation processes.
Through social media outreach, community partnerships, and online campaigns, we aim to reach a wider audience and encourage participation in our training sessions. We believe that by raising awareness about the importance of financial literacy, we can foster a financially empowered community. It is our objective to play a role in building a financially literate and resilient community.
Support to SMEs and Owner Managed business
As part of our CSR, we provide pro bono services to some selected SMEs or Owner-managed businesses within our region. Our ultimate objective is to assist SMEs in setting up of chart of accounts and developing the accounting policy manual, accurate bookkeeping and classification of transactions in accordance with the IASs, processing of payroll, and compliance with statutory and tax requirements. Our package for SMEs also includes offering support services in resolving any tax issues that may arise during our tenure/retainer ship or as a result of a tax audit.
Giving back to the community
Part of the CSR objective is to give back to the community. We understand that children’s homes and orphanages play a vital role in providing a nurturing environment for children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or in need of care. The intention is to provide the little that we can to assist their efforts by making an annual financial contribution or donation to these orphanages and children’s homes.
We believe in fostering long-term relationships with other NGOs, children’s homes and orphanages. Through partnerships, we provide ongoing support beyond financial contributions and donations. Our employees have the opportunity to volunteer their time and skills to assist these institutions in whatever capacity they may be required from administrative support to organizing educational and mentoring programs.
